Welcome to my Life. I was born in Dover, New Hampshire to a carpenter and an oil painter. Early on I spent countless hours learning the structure, composition and creativity involved with these pursuits, not quite realizing the benefit at the time. In 1984 through the influence of my parent's spiritual teacher, I was sent to a Sikh boarding school in the foothills of the Himalayas in India, again not quite realizing the benefit at the time. Eight years was spent learning about religion, culture and language, not to mention the freedom of being a child exploring a land of mystery, mysticism and magic. I feel this early experience was what influenced me towards an artistic nature, interacting with colors, forms and representations that are the product of thousands of years in cultural maturation.

The depth of that experience sank in upon returning to the States and finishing off high school at New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, New Mexico. This was such a stark contrast to my known life, I feel it gave me time for my own maturation, a mental adaptation to the vast differences my mind and body will be subject to. Around this time is when I felt most a drastic need to define my experience, usually requiring a form of expression and outlet. Moving to Portland, Oregon and attending Portland State University initiated the discovery of the structured art world and its possibilities or limitations, giving me the foundation to pursue my expressions in Life. Thus the years have passed and my experiences change with my aging, only to find my vision and need for expression ever increased in a world full of chaos, contrast and moments of wonder.
